Camerata Singers Past Seasons
The 2008-2009 season began in splendid style with an area premiere performance of Paul McCartney's Ecce Cor Meum (Behold My Heart) as part of the Pennsylvania Sinfonia Orchestra’s annual Gala at Symphony Hall on Saturday, November 15, 2008, and continued with a traditional, bi-annual, complete performance of Handel's Messiah on Saturday, December 20, 2008 at First Presbyterian Church, Allentown. The Spring concert featured a British double-header with performances of John Rutter's Requiem and Benjamin Britten's Rejoice in the Lamb at Wesley Church, Bethlehem, on Saturday, March 21, 2009. The season concluded with an exciting extra event, in collaboration with the Allentown Symphony Orchestra, with Diane Wittry conducting two performances of Italian Opera Choruses at Symphony Hall on Saturday and Sunday, April 18 and 19, 2009.
